Privacy Policy

KronoPill is a medication reminder and organization application designed to help users manage medication schedules, vitamins, reminders, dose history, PDF reports, and optional AI-assisted features. This Privacy Policy explains what information KronoPill may access, collect, process, or share, how that information is used, and what choices you have regarding your data.

1. Information We May Collect or Process

The information KronoPill handles depends on which features you choose to use.

Information you enter manually

• Name or display name, if you choose to add one.
• Medication names, vitamin names, strengths, formulations, or other labels you enter.
• Dosage information, reminder times, schedules, frequencies, and custom notes.
• Dose history, including statuses such as taken, missed, skipped, or scheduled, along with timestamps.
• Questions, prompts, or messages you submit to the AI assistant.
• Images of medication labels, prescriptions, or packaging if you choose to use an AI scan or image-based feature.

Automatically generated app data

• Local reminder schedules and notification-related settings.
• Dose logs, adherence history, and app-generated timeline data.
• Temporary files created to generate or share PDF reports.
• App settings such as language preference, onboarding status, and feature preferences.
• Subscription status, purchase validation status, and usage limits for free or premium features.
• Firebase components may generate technical installation or session identifiers needed to provide diagnostic services. Crash reports, non-fatal diagnostic reports, relevant app state, and device metadata are uploaded only when you voluntarily enable Share Diagnostics, which is off by default. KronoPill uses Google Analytics for Firebase only when the user chooses to enable optional Product Analytics. Product Analytics is disabled by default and can be changed later in Settings → Privacy & data.

2. Device Permissions

KronoPill may request certain permissions only when they are needed for app functionality.

You can manage these permissions through your device settings.

3. How We Use Information

KronoPill uses information to provide and improve the app's features, including to:

• Create, update, and manage medication reminders.
• Display your medication schedule, dose history, and routine information inside the app.
• Generate PDF reports based on the medication history you choose to export.
• Process prompts, text, or images through optional AI features when you explicitly request them.
• Manage premium access, subscriptions, purchase validation, and free-tier limits.
• Identify crashes, improve app stability, and maintain app security.
• Comply with legal, platform, and security requirements.

4. Local Storage and Backups

By default, your medication schedules, dose history, settings, and routine information are stored locally on your device using app-controlled local storage, such as secure app storage or a local database.

KronoPill does not operate a general cloud account system for storing your full medication history. However, your device operating system may include app data in device backups, such as Google backup services, depending on your device settings.

You are responsible for protecting your device with a passcode, biometric lock, or other device-level security controls.

5. AI Features and Remote Processing

KronoPill may include optional AI-powered features, such as app guidance, medication organization assistance, text extraction, or image-based scanning. These features are optional and are only used when you choose to interact with them.

When you use an AI feature, the prompt, text, medication-related information, or image you submit may be sent to an AI provider, such as Google Gemini, to generate a response or process the request.

Do not submit information to AI features that you do not want processed by a third-party AI service.

6. PDF Reports

KronoPill may generate PDF reports using the medication history and dose information stored in the app. These reports may contain sensitive health-related information.

You control whether to generate, save, send, print, or share these reports. Once you share a PDF outside the app, KronoPill cannot control how the recipient stores, uses, or redistributes it.

7. Third-Party Services

KronoPill may use third-party services to provide app functionality, AI processing, payments, crash diagnostics, and advertising. Depending on the app version and features enabled, these services may include:

• Google Gemini for optional AI text or image processing.
• Google Play Billing and RevenueCat for subscriptions, purchases, purchase restoration, and premium access validation.
• Firebase Crashlytics and related Firebase components for optional crash diagnostics and app stability.
• Google AdMob and Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) for advertising, consent management, and advertising privacy options in the free version.

Crash Diagnostics — Firebase Crashlytics

KronoPill includes an optional Share Diagnostics feature to help detect and fix stability problems. It is off by default. If you enable it in the app's Settings, KronoPill allows Firebase Crashlytics to receive reports about crashes, Android application-not-responding events (ANRs) when supported by the device, and limited non-fatal errors.

These reports may include stack traces, relevant app state, the KronoPill version, the technical event time, device model, operating system version, CPU architecture, available RAM or disk space, foreground or background state, a Crashlytics Installation UUID, a Firebase Installation ID, and a Firebase Session ID. Firebase may process this information using Google's global infrastructure.

Information KronoPill does not manually add: KronoPill's manually reported non-fatal events use limited, predefined technical categories. KronoPill does not manually add medication names, doses, schedules, dose history, appointments, doctor or clinic details, inventory, PDF content, AI prompts or responses, scanner images, profile names, email addresses, custom user IDs, original error messages, or general app logs. KronoPill uses Google Analytics for Firebase only when the user chooses to enable optional Product Analytics. Product Analytics is disabled by default and can be changed later in Settings → Privacy & data.

Turning diagnostics off and data retention: You can turn Share Diagnostics off at any time. KronoPill immediately stops its own manual non-fatal reporting, asks Firebase to disable automatic collection for subsequent app launches, and attempts to delete diagnostic reports that remain unsent on the device. Turning it off does not automatically delete reports already sent to Firebase. Firebase states that it keeps crash stack traces and associated identifiers for 90 days before beginning the process of removing them from live and backup systems.

Optional Product Analytics — Google Analytics for Firebase

KronoPill offers optional Product Analytics using Google Analytics for Firebase. It is disabled by default and is not enabled merely by accepting the Terms, choosing an advertising consent option, or enabling Share Diagnostics. The user may select "Allow analytics" or leave it disabled by selecting "Not now". The choice can later be changed in Settings → Privacy & data.

When Product Analytics is enabled, Google Analytics for Firebase may process limited technical and app-usage information, including:

• app lifecycle and interaction events;
• app launches, sessions and session duration;
• app version and updates;
• general operating-system and device information;
• approximate country or region derived from a masked IP address;
• an automatically generated app-instance identifier;
• in-app purchase or subscription events made available by the applicable platform or SDK.

The information is used to understand general feature adoption, measure app usage and performance, identify opportunities to improve usability, and guide product improvements. It is not used by KronoPill for personalised advertising.

Information KronoPill does not include: KronoPill does not include the following information in its own Product Analytics event parameters: medication names, doses, medication schedules, medical notes, appointment details, PDF contents, AI prompts, AI responses or conversations, or other free-text medical content.

Identifiers and settings: KronoPill does not set a custom User ID. KronoPill does not set custom user properties. Firebase Analytics Advertising ID collection is disabled in the Android configuration. This Advertising ID statement applies only to Firebase Analytics; AdMob is described separately in the Advertising section. Google Signals and Analytics ads personalisation are disabled.

Retention and provider: User-level and event-level data retention in the Google Analytics property is configured to two months, and the retention period is not reset when a new user activity occurs. The retention setting may not affect standard aggregated reports maintained by Google Analytics. This service is provided by Google.

These third-party services may process information according to their own privacy policies and terms. KronoPill does not directly store your credit card number when purchases are handled through Google Play.

8. Advertising and Premium Features

The free version of KronoPill may display ads. Advertising providers may process device identifiers, advertising identifiers, approximate location, network data, or interaction data to deliver and measure ads, depending on your device settings and the provider's policies.

Premium features may remove ads or unlock additional functionality, such as unlimited medications, PDF reports, or AI-related features. Purchases are managed through the Google Play billing system.

9. Data Sharing and Sales

KronoPill does not sell, rent, or trade your personal health data.

We may share or process data only in limited cases, such as:

• With service providers that are necessary to operate features you use, such as AI processing, billing, crash reporting, or ads.
• When you choose to export, share, or send a PDF report.
• When required to comply with applicable laws, legal requests, platform rules, or security obligations.

10. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information handled by KronoPill. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.

Because much of your medication information may be stored locally on your device, you should use device-level protections such as a passcode, biometric unlock, and updated operating system security settings.

11. Data Retention and Deletion

Local medication data, schedules, dose history, and app settings remain on your device until you delete them, clear the app's data, or uninstall KronoPill.

If information is sent to third-party services—such as AI providers, crash reporting tools, billing services, or advertising providers—its retention is governed by the applicable provider's policies. For Crashlytics, turning Share Diagnostics off does not automatically delete reports already sent to Firebase. Firebase states that it keeps crash stack traces and associated identifiers for 90 days before beginning the process of removing them from live and backup systems.

If KronoPill later introduces user accounts or cloud sync, this policy will be updated to explain account deletion and cloud data deletion options.

12. Children's Privacy

KronoPill is not intended for direct use by minors (individuals under the age of 18). If a child's medical or routine data needs to be tracked, the application must be used and strictly supervised by a parent, legal guardian, or qualified healthcare professional.

KronoPill stores core medication information locally on the device by default, but some optional or supporting features—such as AI assistance, purchases, advertising, and crash diagnostics—use third-party services. KronoPill does not knowingly seek personal information from people under 18 through these features.

Because KronoPill does not provide user accounts or a general cloud service for storing complete medication histories, a parent or guardian may need to review or remove locally stored information directly from the device. Information sent to optional features or supporting third-party services is subject to the controls and provider policies described in this Privacy Policy.

If you are a parent or guardian and become aware that a minor has entered information into KronoPill without supervision, you can remove information stored locally on that device by clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app. These actions do not automatically delete information that was already sent to third-party services. 13. Medical Disclaimer

KronoPill is a medication reminder and organization tool. It is not a medical device, diagnostic tool, treatment provider, emergency service, or substitute for professional medical advice.

Always consult a licensed doctor, pharmacist, or qualified healthcare professional before making decisions about prescriptions, dosage, symptoms, interactions, treatment, or emergencies.

14. Your Choices and Controls

You can control your information in several ways:

• Edit or delete medication entries directly in the app.
• Delete generated PDF reports from wherever you saved or shared them.
• Turn off notifications, camera access, or other permissions in your device settings.
• Choose not to use AI features.
• Clear app data or uninstall KronoPill to remove local app data from your device.
• Manage purchases or subscriptions through your Google Play account settings.
• Enable or disable Share Diagnostics from the app's Settings. It is off by default, and the app can be used without enabling it.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in KronoPill, legal requirements, platform requirements, third-party services, or privacy practices. When we update this page, we will change the effective date above.
